Using Color Contacts to Portray an Image

Most people who have colored contact lenses aren't using color contacts to their full advantage. Did you know that people will judge you just based on the color of your eyes? It's true, colors in general create different images and feelings within people, so when they look at you the subconscious mind takes the color in and then expects certain things.

For example if you have brown eyes you are expected to be warm and deep. Brown eyed people are expected to be somewhat smart as well. They are suppose to be calm and collected. Sometimes it's portrayed as distant as well. Brown eyes are some of the hardest to cover up because they are darker, you can still be using color contacts with brown eyes though, but usually you will have to use opaque colored contacts.

Blue eyed people
are expected to be fun loving and energetic especially when mixed with blond hair, sometimes this combination can come off ditsy or unintelligent as well. In some cases they are expected to be very smart though if mixed with the right facial features and hair color. Blue eyes also create a feeling of purity and innocence especially in children.

Green eyes portray sophistication and sometimes sensuality. Also those with green eyes can be expected to have a bit of a temper at times especially when combined with red hair. Often times those with green eyes are expected to be very smart and professional.

Anyone with hazel eyes is considered mysterious and spontaneous. Hazel in nature has a tendency to look brown or green depending on lighting so often times it's associated with some of the traits from either of those colors as well. Hazel also sends a message of kindness and softness.

So as you can see using color contacts correctly can make a big difference on the impressions you are making on those you associate with. Choose your colors wisely, pick something that matches your personality or the impression you want to make on others. Good luck in picking out the right color of eyes for you!

MAKEUP TECHNIQUES AND COLORS

There are other ways to change the color of your eyes besides using color contacts; one way to change your eye color is through using different makeup techniques and colors. You can do this pretty inexpensively too. Your local Rite Aid or Walgreens will have plenty of options for you.

I like Rite Aid because you can return items even after they are used. I buy all my makeup at Rite Aid for that reason, because it is hard to tell if you like a certain kind or color of makeup until it’s actually on your face. This way you don’t waste a ton of money on makeup you will never use.

Some of my favorites are Cover Girl’s Lash Blast Mascara and Almay’s Green Smoky Eyes eye shadow set. If you are going for something subtle and subdued light brown and bronze colors do a great job. I have greenish brown eyes and if I want to really bring out the green in them I use purple eye shadow.

It’s always a good idea to use more than one color of eye shadow. I usually start with the eyeliner then ad a light color to the entire lid. Then I will blend in a bit of a darker color over the ridge of the eye and then put my mascara on last. This is one of those great every day makeup techniques.

One of my favorite dramatic makeup techniques is the smoky eye. If you want a good smoky eye the key is blending correctly. Again start with the eyeliner and put it on thick, then you want to smudge the eye liner just a little bit so it’s not such a defined line. For a really intense smoky eye you should have liner on the bottom as well as the top.

After the eyeliner you want to then apply a couple of layers of a light color, I like to use a light grey or green. Then you want to add a really intense dark color on top of that and blend it so it’s the lightest on the inside corner of your eye and the darkest on the outside corner. Then you want to apply 3-4 coats of mascara to both your top and bottom lashes. Then Curl.

CELBRITIES WHO WEAR COLORED CONTACT LENSES | PARIS HILTON'S BLUE EYE CONTACTS

One of the most widely known stars to wear color contacts is Paris Hilton. Paris Hilton's blue eye contacts are highly sought after. Well ladies and gents, the sultry blue colored contacts that she wears are extremely expensive because they are hand painted and I believe are not even being made anymore.

Paris Hilton's eyes are naturally brown so she wears opaque colored contact lenses to cover them up. The closest thing to what she’s got that’s on the market is made by Natural Touch and is are baby blue opaque. Paris Hilton actually has a lazy eye but hides it well with a combo of wearing the blue contacts and m
any side glances. Paris Hilton’s blue eye contacts are part of what she is known for.

Another huge star to wear color contacts is Angelina Jolie. She actually has one of the most unique shades of blue for her natural color but wore dark brown colored contact lenses in the movie "A Mighty Heart". The brown color contacts completely changed her look, the role she played was suppose to be a multi-racial woman and the dark brown colored contact lenses made all the difference for her.

Females are the only stars known to have worn colored contact lenses, men like Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise have been know to change their eye color for movies as well. It is very common for males to wear colored contacts as well.

Now in the movie Twilight none of the actors or actresses wore colored contact lenses. The colors of all the vampire eyes were done digitally. But it did create a demand for golden colored contact lenses.
